So give this a read and you can spend your summer days without any worries.

For dry skin
If you have dry skin, then opt for a sunscreen that contains zinc oxide, vitamin E, hyaluronic acid, and AHAs—along with dimethicone, an ingredient often found in makeup primers that smooths skin texture. These ingredients are great for all skin types. If you have oily skin, it can be applied as your daily moisturiser, meanwhile, those with dry skin can use the extra moisturising properties it has for soothing dry skin.

For those spending a lot of time outdoors
Many make the mistake of thinking they only need sunscreen when they’re outdoors. But UV rays can come through windows and glass and you will need protecting from this. If however, you are someone who spends a lot of time outdoors, you will need to opt for a broader spectrum of 50 and above to protect against any sun damage. If it’s going to be a long day outdoors and you think you’re likely to sweat, then opt for a sunscreen that won’t run into your eyes or make you feel sticky.
-
For sensitive skin
For those with sensitive skin, physical or mineral sunscreens are best as they will not trigger sensitivity like sunscreens made of chemical formulas which absorb solar radiation. Mineral formulas on the other hand, offer broader protection. Many ingredients in sunscreens have been linked to allergic reactions and irritation, which is especially true in the case of those with sensitive skin. So browse the ingredients and choose your sunscreen carefully.

For wearing under makeup
The chemical sunscreens which we talked about earlier in this article, are the ones perfect to apply under your makeup. The formulas in these sunscreens are known to be more cosmetically elegant and easily disappear into the skin, which is great for when you apply your makeup. You don’t want that whitish residue that leaves a layer on your skin. This is especially the case for darker skin.

If you’re prone to breakouts
This is a tricky one, because being prone to breakouts means absolutely anything can make you breakout. This would be another time where you should use a mineral formula. Zinc oxide is known to be soothing on sensitive skin, so it won’t aggravate active breakouts. Other features to look for: oil-free, non-comedogenic, and matte. Also, a sunscreen powder will help absorb the excess oil when you reapply throughout the day.
