Legendary tv actor host and film personality, Tariq Aziz has passed away. He was 84 years old at the time of passing. He was born on the 28th of April in 1936. He was most known for his role as host in the hugely popular quiz/entertainment show Neelam Ghar.
Lollywood paid tribute to the late legend while remembering his popular and most known dialog Dekhti aankhon sunte kaanon when he would begin his television show.
He was known to be a socialist (read the detailed piece by Nadeem Paracha here) when he began taking part in student politics. He later joined PMLN and PMLQ later in his political career. He was also given the Pride of Performance, a high honor in Pakistan.
Various individuals from Lollywood paid tribute to the television and film giant.
“Rest in peace Tariq Aziz Sahab,” tweeted Ali Zafar. “You gave us an era. A childhood full of memories. You gave us gifts and so much more. We forget our heroes too soon. But I am confident you shall never be forgotten. Such was your presence.”
Armeena Khan also tweeted out her condolences.
Cricketer Ahmed Shahzad and television show host Tuba Aamir also tweeted their thoughts about the passing of the late legend.
The year has been a rough one so far. This year alone various notable names from the subcontinent. Sabiha Khanum passed away two days ago as well, bringing much sadness to everyone. A few days ago noted literary figure Asif Farrukhi had also passed away at the age of 60. Across the border, known actors such as Rishi Kapoor, Irrfan Khan and Sushant Singh Rajput passed away.
