In a world where trends and styles are evolving rather fast, we see new trends popping up every now and again. From new makeup trends, to new sartorial trends, a new fashion craze or a new skin care technique. We thought we had seen it all, until now. A new trend has emerged, in Hollywood of course, and it has started making its way down. Celebrities have increasingly become obsessed with this trend and we’ve also seen it trending across social media. What is this trend you ask? It’s the dolphin skin trend.
A number of celebrities have been spotted sporting this latest skin trend and as we know, the world is obsessed with having clear skin. A number of skin and makeup trends have come and gone but clear skin is just something we all aspire to have. We have now come across another clear skin trend that has the beauty fraternity talking.
Dolphin skin is the latest makeup trend which aims to give you glowy, clear and glass-like skin which is supposed to look as though you have just stepped out of the water. The way dolphins have a shiny, glossy layer when they are seen coming out of the water, this skin trend aspires to get glossy skin as though it is that of a dolphin. Dolphin skin was initially coined by makeup artist Mary Philips and celebrities including the likes of Bella Hadid, Gigi Hadid, Chrissy Teigan and of course Kim Kardashian have all sported the trend and the results are flawless.

How to achieve dolphin skin?
Just like any other makeup look, it is important that your skin is prepped and you set the base exactly right. You should use the products that fill your pores correctly and hide fine lines. This trend also requires pretty much your entire face to be highlighted so make sure you use a trusted highlighter, preferably cream based. After completing your base, use your highlighter on the highest points of your cheeks, your nose, your brow bone and even in the middle of your brows. Finish off with highlighting your temples and just dab any excess on your cheek.
This trend definitely gets our stamp of approval. Will you be trying this trend? Let us know in the comments below!
