Actor Sarah Khan’s father Zafar Khan passed away over the weekend. Photographer Abdul Samad Zia, who is also a close friend of Sarah and her husband Falak Shabbir, was the first to break the news on Instagram. Uploading a picture of the couple with her father on their wedding day earlier this year, Abdul wrote, “A heartbreaking news – Sarah Khan’s father passed away. May Allah ease the pain of all family members and help them bear this loss, Ameen!” Following this, Sarah too shared a heartfelt note regarding her late father, in which she revealed that she does not have a mother either. “My lord, have mercy upon them (my parents) as they brought me up when I was small,” she started off the Instagram caption with.
Posting a picture of a painting, she continued, “This painting is called the first moments in heaven. I can’t wait for the day when we reunite again InshAllah. Please remember my baba and mama in your prayers.” We wish Sarah strength during these trying times.
Earlier, the actor revealed that her husband Falak has always been a great source of support to her. Talking to Dawn Images, Falak was also full of praises for his ladylove. “It was at the 2019 Hum TV Bridal Couture Week where Sarah was a showstopper that we met properly,” revealed Shabir. “Previously we had only met as acquaintances, but that day I was drinking tea at the hotel when Sarah and Noor were passing by. I asked them to join me and we had tea together. That was probably the first time we spoke to each other in detail.” He added that he is happy with whatever Sarah wants to do with her life. “Whatever Sarah wants to do in the entire world – media related, business related, singing, acting, or anything at all – I’m always going to be standing by her side to support her. She has no restrictions right now, and neither will she have any after marriage. I believe that we have our elders to guide us and love us, and if they’ve never put restrictions on anyone – who am I to do it? Whatever Sarah wants, I am always with her,” the singer concluded.
